Surfers paradise Algarve

The west coast of Portugal has perfect waves for everyone - no matter whether beginners or pros. This is why the world's best big wave surfers find their way to the western end of Europe every year.
Our surf camp is located between Arrifana and Monte Clerigo.
But these are only two spots ... here are our favorites:

Arrifana
Arrifana is probably the most famous spot in the South Algarve. This is also shown by the fact that the spot is bespattered by many surfers. The beach lies beautiful between steep cliffs. In spring and autumn, when the waves are larger, Arrifana offers good surfing conditions for all abilities. During summer other beaches offer better conditions.

Monte Clerigo
Just north of Arrifana is the beautiful large sandy beach and picturesque place Monte Clerigo. As the beach is a bit more exposed, there are waves for surfing all year round. Because of the vastness there is always a good sandbank for the surf course. On the beach itself there are some nice bars for a cozy break from the lessons.

more surf spots in the Algarve:

Carrapateira
is also one of the most famous surf sports in Portugal and has two very nice and large sandy beaches with several peaks, which are also suitable for beginners. The southern beach is sheltered from the north wind. The northern beach is more open to the north and is embedded in a beautiful dune landscape. It is also a beach, which is very popular with kiters.

Cordoama
has a beach with several beautiful peaks, whereby the viewpoint on the top of the cliff is excellent for the spot check. You have to pass the small village of Villa do Bispo and then, after a few kilometers, turn right and a small road will lead you to the beach.

Sagres
is a small fishing village. You will enjoy having a refreshing drink in one of the bars after surfing. Sagres is the most southern point in Europe.
The small coastal town has a fishing port; lots of holiday accommodations, a campsite and a handful of bars which are perfect for going out.
The fortress and Cap São Vicente, the most southwestern point of Europe.have become great tourist attractions.
The surrounding area offers many fantastic surfing possibilities, which are used by many surfers and body boarders.

Beliche
is a very good spot but for good beach break it requires a large nord swell or a south swell.
More constant conditions can be found in Tonel.
In winter Mareta can regularly convince with good waves.

Zavial
is one of the many small bays on the south coast of the Algarve and not the only one that has good waves. On the right side of the bay runs a beautiful right over a rocky ground. In the middle of the bay there are usually two main peaks, which however often break close-out.
